Role Description Beno Technologies is seeking interns to join our team in working on experimentation and exploration projects. Experimentation is a crucial component of our engineering culture, as it helps us push the boundaries of what is possible. Your contributions will enable the Beno Engineering team to select the most effective tools and technologies, ultimately improving our efficiency and product competitiveness.We constantly search for recent software graduates or practitioners with a strong sense of curiosity and the ability to explore new tools, technologies, or libraries from the commercial and open-source software. Our engineers will provide you with the necessary training and support to ensure the project's success. Here are some examples from past projects: Research on the viable methods to incorporate AI chat assistant with Beno's products and policies and creating a POC. The results of this project is now being deployed to our production as beta version. Investigate various reactive data persistence libraries for Java/Kotlin, such as Reactive Hibernate and Komapper, and others. The results of this project is now an integral part of our codebase. You will work closely with our senior software engineers in Dubai, Amman, or Damascus, who will offer the support necessary for your success. As an intern, you should be a quick learner and be driven by curiosity to explore new ideas.Our Engineering Team is spread across Dubai, Amman, and Damascus, and we prioritize a remote-first approach. While we follow a hybrid work model In Dubai (and the U.A.E.), the Engineering team is presently fully remote as we undergo office transition. Who We're Looking For We seek candidates who thrive in solving technical challenges and are passionate about hands-on work. If you are the one who carries your team in university or bootcamp projects, you've found the right opportunity.As an intern, we expect you to possess a solid foundation in computer science, with a strong emphasis on understanding Object-Oriented Programming. Other skills are considered a bonus. We will tailor the internship project to match your abilities. Consequently, we welcome a wide range of skills. Useful knowledge includes any combination of the following domains: app development (web, mobile, or CLI), Analytics, ML, and AI.In addition to technical skills, ideal candidates should exhibit a high level of self-organization and be receptive to suggestions and guidance from the team. At the conclusion of the internship, you will be asked to document and present your work, making good writing and presentation skills invaluable.Our internship program offers short (5 to 6 weeks) internships but we are open to extending internships and potentially converting them into full-time employment.
