Purpose and Overall Relevance for the Organization: To ensure VM Excellence and impact on the positive development, planning and delivery of adidas’ Brand image across all Omni-Channel DTC touchpoints. The role will be responsible for delivering VM Excellence across EMC, maximizing Net Sales through VM directives creation, new store opening layouts and planning, elevation of stores look and feel and product presentation in market, support of in-season marketing/promo/quarterly launches and pre-seasons (GTM) planning. Ensure the delivery of optimum brand presence and drive sell-out through planning flawless consumer-relevant Directives, Seasonal Commercial Drivers and Visual Merchandising that can be used across EMC. Key Responsibilities: Strategy and Priorities: Driving excellence within VM in store across all door segmentation Leading of seasonal, brand and commercial campaign guide creation (zoning, MNQ looks, VM for key touchpoints, ISC etc.) for all brands (BCS, OCS, YA, FO), including customized approach for special distribution doors (Halo, SPW, Outdoor Terrex, Women store etc,) Drive consumer journey guideline production for local moments focusing on where we do not have guidelines from the Hub or global i.e. National Days, Ramadan, Emirati women’s day etc. Full end to end ownership of brand lead retail VM within stores, shaping VM rollout, outcome and improvement for consumer access to product including key store micro plans Leading of VM operational documents’ creation and sharing – Best practice, Weekly trading focus, mannequin calendar etc Tracking of campaign’s performance and VM guides corrections where required Constant collaboration with Hub VM creation team – feedback on guides and its implementation in retail Leading on the use of the VM planning tool to create power point presentations of how Key Doors should be presented Leading from Omni Channel and brand perspective of store openings / renovations (delivering with BandM layouts and zoning, PandP creation by categories), VM tool ordering and inventory tracking Pre-season planning: Consulting function in seasonal range selection process: category product assortment check, key looks and MNQ sets selection Preliminary planning of key campaigns and promos via key stores planning; Horizontal range alignment for special distribution stores and key stores per brand (BCS, OCS, Kids, FO); Leading of VM education across EMC: For retail stores through on-line and off-line trainings, self-read best practice materials, seasonal VM conferences and working with Sales Academy For District Omni team through always-on internal education: seasonal and campaign, commercial, processes and VM skills education covering own retail and WHS partners Create and own a clear process and timelines for VM and ISC Directives hand over to the District Omni Teams across EMC Collaborating with retail and Omni Execution on District Omni structure Analysis of instore VM results, gathering feedback from RDs and DMs and optimization of tools and collaborations. Development and enhancement of VM tools for retail Lead with VM planning with WHS team to ensure premium execution within a multi-brand environment Support of cross-functional projects (horizontal toolkits like Membership, Women’s strategy etc.) Implementation of any strategies, plans or events cascaded from EM Hub teams Constant collaboration and best practice sharing with EM Hub Omni Channel team Team development (goals and task setting, control of implementation, feedback etc.) and requirement. Effective collaboration with any other departments for goals’ achievement Overall alignment with Planning and Execution leads on campaign requirements across EMC Training and Reporting: Lead and improve the development of planning processes to increase efficiencies for the team and business through Quarterly VM Trainings scheduling Share VM best practice ways of working and alignment across EMC cluster Teams Integrate VM Principles directives overview on the Campaigns Sign Off decks Ensure Campaigns VM directives are optimized with EMC market requirements and links added into Omni Pipeline and Brand Planning tool Team Management: Develop and Manage VM Planning Team, to deliver full EMC elevated consumer journeys Drive Ownership for VM direction and Store process with the P1’s in place Promote a high-performance culture by setting clear expectations and individual goals Ensure the company values and mindset are demonstrated and fully embraced by the team Develop the team and build succession plans Key Relationships: EMC Omni Planning Team Omni Channel Ordering and Execution Team HUB Omni channel team CTC, Brand Comms, Digital and MOPS DTC Retail Operations team BandM Team Store Development Team Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Manager with advanced Visual Merchandising and sales knowledge/experience across sport and fashion/lifestyle Strong Leadership Ability Proven track record of Project Management Extensive experience in Strategic Key Account Management and Negotiation skills Retail and Channel expertise Visual Merchandising Expert Solution oriented personality who understands to balance brand equity/ building a brand and commercial relevance/interest of channels Proven track record in Visual Merchandising and Store Opening processes Excellent presentation skills IT skills: Outlook, Excel and Word: Basic; PowerPoint: advanced Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: University degree in Business with Marketing and Fashion focus Minimum of 5-6 years successful track record in a leading Visual Merchandising position Experience in consumer and/or sporting goods industries is preferred Fluent in English Fluent in Arabic and/or French an advantage
